Indias former world billiards champion dies

 

BOMBAY: Indias former world billiards champion Wilson Jones died Saturday after a prolonged illness.

Jones, 81, had been bed-ridden since suffering a stroke in April. Winner of the 1958 and 1964 World Championships, Jones had set a world record of eight century breaks in a two-hour session. Jones had been bestowed with Indias Arjun award for sports excellence and the Dronachary award for coaching. AFP
